Booking an appointment

Please indicate the session you would like to book into- it will appear as a 'group session'. The schedule will be finalised the day before and you will be sent a message confirming your appointment time. Apologies, I will not be able to book you into a specific time as the schedule will be based on where I have to go and the travel times between appointments. If you need a specific time-frame, let me know and I will do my best, but please try to make appointments when you are available for the whole shift. 

Please note that you or a family member will need to be present to assist in handling the animal for your appointment.

 

Fees and appointment duration

Initial Consultations

Dogs- 30-45 mins $100 

Horses- 45-60 mins $140 

Rider- 30 mins $100 Health fund rebates available

Horse & Rider- $220 Health fund rebates available on the rider's portion

Standard Consultations

Dogs- 15-20 mins, $70

Horses 40-45 mins $120

Rider 15-20 mins $70 Health fund rebates available

Horse & Rider $170 Health fund rebates available on the rider's portion

Travel Fees- Outside of the Townsville area

Are based on your distance from West End and are charged once per owner, whether you have one animal or 100. If there are several appointments consecutively around or on my way to your area the fee will be split between multiple owners- the fees below are the maximum you will be charged. 

 

Dog owners- if you prefer to bring your dog to me, I can meet you at West End Chiropractic at 6/20 Echlin st West End. Please meet me out the front (not inside as there may be massages/chiro appointments in progress). Please put this in the 'notes' when you make a booking. ​

$50- Giru, Majors Creek, Woodstock

$70- Balgal, Cape Clevland, Rollingstone- please call to arrange

$100- (Magnetic Island TBC)

$80- Crystal Creek- please call to arrange

$100- Ingham, Ayr, Home Hill, Charters Towers- please call to arrange

Late cancellation or missed appointment fees

Cancellations once the schedule is finalised will be charged 50% of the appointment fee,  or missed appointments (if you are not home at your appointment time) will be charged the full appointment fee.  

 

Safety

Horses will need to have proof of current Hendra vaccination

For safety purposes you will need to be present at the appointment to handle the animal. 

Muzzles will be available for dogs if required, if you think they might get snappy then we can put that on as a precaution. 

If at any time I don't feel comfortable for yours or my own safety I will have to end the appointment.

Please note that it may take a few sessions for the animals to feel comfortable with being treated, we may have to build up to a full treatment.
